" Learning Made Simple. Stories Made Powerful."
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council: Peace Through Faith Programme

Shared Faith, Shared Futures is a new PEACEPLUS programme bringing together churches, faith-based organisations, leaders and volunteers from across the Lisburn & Castlereagh area. It is designed to create opportunities for people to connect, build stronger relationships, develop confidence and skills, and explore how faith communities can continue to make a positive contribution to local life, peacebuilding and community wellbeing.
Whether you are an established faith leader, a lay leader, volunteer or someone beginning to take on more responsibility within your church or faith-based organisation, there are opportunities to get involved. Participants can access one-to-one mentoring and coaching, leadership and personal development support, networking, practical workshops, wellbeing support, shared learning and best-practice visits — all within a supportive environment where people can learn from one another and build lasting connections. The programme is about supporting people, strengthening leadership (new and emerging) and building relationships across different communities and backgrounds. It is not about changing beliefs or traditions; it is about creating space for learning, collaboration and shared understanding. Participation is designed to be flexible and accessible alongside existing church, work and volunteering commitments.
